New Beginnings

2008 is a new year! thus a new blog effort on my part! Since I have "expectations" for this year instead of resolutions, perhaps my renewed interest in sharing on a day to day basis will carry itself thru to a more realistic accomplishment.The image is of winter trees in my backyard which have served as inspiration for several paintings! So far this year...

• I've delivered paintings to a new gallery in Darien, GA. The Old Jail Gallery, located on Hwy 17 in the heart of Darien, is organized by the McIntosh Art Association as a showcase for the member's artwork, featured guest artists, and a museum for the Old Jail. Drop in to visit if you're in that area and be sure to tell them where you got the tip!


• Painting outdoors at Contentment Bluff near Darien is great in the winter! I finished four paintings while there the first week in January.


• The Trinity School show, Spotlight on Art, opens in February,and six paintings are ready to transport. I'm always happy to not be framing at the last minute!


• Carisma Gallery will showcase my paintings beginning in February. They're located in Historic Buford on Main Street!
